Would love to hear folks thoughts on what is the most important thing they wish to get out of joining a fireworks club. Is it the feeling of belonging to a community of like-minded individuals? Is it the sharing of knowledge about fireworks products and/or show setup? Is manufacturing your primary focus? Maybe it is the discounts offered to club members by fireworks and equipment vendors? We would love to hear your thoughts.
I am still very new to shooting in general so take this for what it is worth.
The group buys are nice, but what I have enjoyed the most is learning hands on from those that have been doing this for a while. This group fills that knowledge gap for me. Hopefully, keeping me from doing something unsafe when I’m on my own.
While I joined for the hands on experiences, the brotherhood and comradery that I feel is what keeps me coming back and traveling! Another low pressure shoot on the schedule would be cool, I really enjoyed Altoona this year just for the hours spent BS’ing with folks.
I do it for the chicks…… or maybe its just for the Joe’s?
Actually I agree with what has already been said. It’s great to get together and just hang out with like minded people. I’ve come to enjoy the no pressure open shoots or idiotic contests that don’t take any real effort. Crackerjacks melon busting is a yearly tradition that never leaves us without a smile on our faces, yet rarely takes more then 30 minutes to set up.
